In 2004 Rick van Rikxoort took on ownership of Southwell Controls and introduced major improvements and upgrades to the samplers.

In 2005 the 4000 Series Water Samplers were introduced, based on the same stable technology from 40 years before, but with modern improvements.

In fact, the 4000 Series Water Samplers are so reliable that the warranty is now THREE YEARS!

In 2007 we were pleased to welcome Mike "Gusto" Mikalian as a co-owner. Mike brings expertise in electronics, and has brought about numerous technological improvements, including a new power supply and a streamlined system.

In 2008 the portable water samplers went through major improvements, and two new water samplers were introduced: the PVS 4150 Portable Samplers and the PVS 4120 Portable Water Samplers, both serving different needs for today's user.

Southwell's range of samplers are based on the original manufacturing design of Sirco Products Ltd., Canada for the North American market.
