Question: What should I do if my sampler will not power up or loses power?

Answer: Go to your unit’s Operating Instructions Manual and see the Troubleshooting section. If you can not find it or have lost your Manual, then call Southwell samplers Tech Support 1-877-984-7788 for assistance

Question: How far from the sample source can the sampler be located?

Answer: For the QLS – the maximum horizontal distance is 120 feet. The maximum vertical distance is 28 feet. Long suction line lengths and high vertical lifts don’t reduce the pump life and components or affect the line velocity. It is better, but not necessary, to locate the sampler as close to the line source as possible when sampling from high vertical lift applications.

Question: What types of strainers are available?

Answer: Southwell Samplers offer one type in two sizes – 3/8” in a Stainless Steel and a 5/8” in Stainless Steel

Question: Which sampler is the most basic, user friendly sampler that is also easily programmed?

Answer: The CVS-CM1NA1 is available as a Refrigerated

Question: Can the PVS SERIES 4100 take flow paced samples?

Answer: Yes. It takes flow paced samples; flow being measured by pulses.

Question: Are there other ways that Southwell Samplers can take samples?

Answer: Yes. All models can take a sample by time and manually.

Question: What are the different ways Southwell Samplers can take a sample?

Answer: All models can take a sample on Time and Flow, flow being measured by pulses, 4-20mA, or by time and manually.

Question: Do your portable samplers have the same lift capability as the refrigerated samplers?

Answer: Yes, the PVS 4100 can have a maximum vertical lift of 28 ft. the new PVS 4150 and PVS 4120 have a maximum vertical lift of 15 ft.

Question: Which refrigerated sampler should I use for outdoor applications?
