Portable Automatic Water Sampler

Sampling overnight in various locations has never been easier with the PVS 4100, SIRCOs sturdiest automatic portable water sampler. Built with the same reliable, long-lasting vacuum technology as SIRCO's stationary water samplers, these samplers are designed to resist the elements and provide stable water sample results.

The vacuum system of sampling results in accurate and dependable results, even with high sediment content or rapid velocities at the sample source. Portable water samplers feature either discrete or composite sampling and a programmable controller with 16-key intuitive touchpad.

A rugged design and precision in construction give these portable samplers the ability to be set up in one location over time, yet they are easily transportable. Internal batteries can operate seven days or more, even longer with the addition of an external battery source, or one could simply plug them into a permanent power supply.

The portable samplers are designed to fit a variety of different locational challenges, and can be hung with a suspension system built with a stainless steel harness.

The enclosure of the PVS 4100 is a molded medium-density linear polyethylene, designed to handle tough environmental challenges and weathering.

The hub has an insulated ring and a cavity for crushed ice, giving more control over the temperature of the samples.

Portable Sampler designed to rigorously and reliably take automatic samples of liquid. All models include:

  • Accuracy. Samples are always within +/- 2 cc's or +/- 2% repeatability.

  • Vacuum-Technology. The vacuum-method of water sampler is the most reliable and accurate method to date. It is also the most powerful sampler, allowing for a 5/8" ID intake tubing. The default of most samplers on the market is 3/8" ID or even 1/4" ID. The extra width of tubing allows for 66% more volume! (something peristaltic samplers cannot accomplish). This is helpful in situations with large solids in the source liquid.

  • Superior Pump Performance. SIRCO Samplers draw at velocities greater than 7 ft/sec (2m/sec), and can even take water samplers over 250 feet away from the source liquid. The strong vacuum helps overcome locational obstacles.

  • Multi-Function Input Controller. Includes a 16-button keypad and two-line liquid crystal display. Easy to use and program. Set it up once and let it run for decades.

  • Warranty. THREE FULL YEARS from date received (one year for refrigerator). Extended warranty optional up to five years.

Portable Automatic Water Sampler Options:

  • Custom-Built Samplers. Each sampler can be custom-designed to meet the particular specifications of an environment. Call for details.
  • AC ONLY. 115VAC system, with no battery. Saves on cost and weight.
  • Additional Cables and Batteries. Helpful for charging from multiple locations, and for longer sampling times.
  • Stainless Steel Suspension Harness. A simple hook system for hanging samplers from above. Helpful for keeping sampler level (for discrete sampling), when suspending in manholes.
  • Stainless Steel Sinker Strainer. Helps prevent hose clogging in rigorous applications with heavy material in the source liquid.
  • Moisture Sensor. Placed at the end of the intake line. When water comes in contact with the sensor it will initiate sampling. Useful for locations with source liquid that dries up, and sampler needs to begin sampling when liquid enters the area.
  • Precipitation Sensor. An external sensor placed in a cylindrical container in a location where rainfall will be present. When the rain reaches a preset level, it will initiate the sampler.
  • Quick-Connect. Stainless Steel connectors for quick connecting/disconnecting of intake tubing.
  • External Signal Cable. For sampling with inputs from flow meters, etc., the external signal cable, built-in to the battery cable, allows for inputs from pulse and 4-20mA.
  • Hand Cart / Tilt-Wheel Assembly. External cart for wheeling around sampler, in particular useful for when containers are full of water and there are considerably distances to traverse.
  • MISA (All-clean) systems. Designed for testing chemicals and in situations where no plastics can touch the source liquid, these samplers are outfitted with Teflon-lined intake tubing, glass metering chamber, Stainless Steel fittings, and glass sample containers.
  • External Equipment. Including Flow Meters, pH Sensors, Data Loggers, Rain Loggers, Temperature, etc.
