The PVS 4100 is the work-horse of the SIRCO Portable Water Samplers. Known for it's extra power and capabilities, the 4100 is the original SIRCO portable. Key features include:
- Superior Pump Performance. The 4100 model has SIRCO's largest pump built-in. This is the same, powerful pump featured in the stationary samplers, with draw velocities greater than 7 ft/sec (2m/sec), and able to take water samples over 250 feet away. The strong vacuum helps overcome locational obstacles.
- Built-in Power Supply. A built-in power supply means faster charging times, and built-in support for a larger battery.
- Powerful Battery. The battery on the PVS 4100 portable sampler is large (15 Lbs, 17AH), and able to handle the power required from the larger pump. The large battery can power a running sampler for 168+ hours (7+ days) based on taking a sample every hour, and 25 feet of intake hose.
- 5/8" ID Capability. With a larger pump comes the ability to increase the size of the intake tube. The 5/8" inner diameter tubing has 66% more volume capacity than standard 3/8" ID tubing.
- Discrete or Composite Sampler. The form of the PVS 4100 is designed to handle either a single container (composite), or multiple containers (discrete). Discrete samplers come standard with 24 bottles and a distributor arm which moves from bottle to bottle.
- Fits in Manholes. The sampler is round in shape, and can fit down manholes. An optional suspension harness will help for hanging sampler in manholes.
The PVS 4120 is SIRCO's lightest-weight sampler, weighing in at a mere 23 Lbs! Key features include:
- Smaller Pump. Using a lighter pump signficantly reduces the other components of the sampler as well. Performance of small pump is still well within EPA requirements (see chart on the technical specs tab for details).
- External Power Supply. The charger of the 4120 includes the power supply, thus decreasing the weight of the sampler itself. For quicker charging needs, an internal power supply can be built-in.
- Light-weight. Many components are smaller and light-weight on the PVS 4120, including the battery, which weighs a mere 4 Lbs (7AH). Battery will last 85+ hours (3.5+ days) taking a sample every hour with a 25 foot hose.
- Discrete or Composite Sampler. The PVS 4120 is capable of sampling into one bottle (composite), or multiple bottles (discrete). Discrete samplers include a distributor arm which moves between 24 bottles based on the program type.
- Fits in Manholes. Sampler enclosure is cylindrical, designed to fit down manholes. An optional suspension harness can be added for hanging sampler.
The PVS 4150 is the easiest-to-transport water sampler on the SIRCO portable product line. Key features include:
- Ease-of-Transport. The carrying case of the PVS 4150 features soft-grip folding handles on all four sides, built-in wheels, and telescoping handle. Ideal for rolling on flat surfaces.
- External Power Supply. The external charger reduces the carrying weight of the sampelr itself. It is a trickle charger, so enough time must be given to fully charge the battery before use.
- Small Battery. The lightweight battery (4 Lbs, 7AH) allows for 85+ hours (3.5+ days) of sampling based on one per hour with 25 foot tube.
- Composite Sampling Only. The PVS 4150 is designed to house a 2 Gallon (9L) sample container.
